Mr. President

Bill Howarth becomes our first President









During our recent A.G.M we had the opportunity to create the post of Honorary
President. It was a great pleasure for the committee to award this honour to
Bill Howarth our first Chairman.The role of President is a just reward for all
the hard work and effort Bill has put in in setting up our U3A and progressing
it over the last six years. Tony Snape, Chairman

Angus Tilston MBE

Angus Tilston MBE, LIverpool author, film maker and local historian who was  awarded the MBE for services to the Historical Film Industry in the North West was the  distinguished speaker at our meeting earlier this month when he entertained us with a fascinating  talk on aspects of Merseyside during the 20th Century. Many members with an interest in Liverpool history will probably have at least one of his DVD’s but there is much more information available in film and video archives which you can access below.
